SYNOPSIS:

Henri IV is a no name stray with an addiction to crispy bacon. He flunked out of the hunting family, repeatedly escaped from a young working couple, and ended up in the rescue, again. After being left at the local shelter for his last chance at adoption, a woman comes in that smelled like the bacon he remembered. Henri throws on the charm to get adopted again, and they become fast companions. Sandy has always been the responsible one. Responsible for always taking care of everything for everyone. After her life implodes in a series of events, she quits her job and moves across the ocean. When she meets Henri in a chance encounter at the shelter, she decides that fate put them together. Their companionship grows and their bond becomes stronger daily. They are both comfortable with the arrangement. Henri is enjoying being pampered and not having to fight in the streets as a stray. One night when someone tries to break in, Henri needs to choose to escape out the open window to go back to living on the road, alone and free, or stay and protect his new human with the same selfless devotion she protected him with.
