Michael Brandt: Actor, playwright and screenwriter in New York City, New York.

Is there an industry standard template for a written pitch document (TV or film) anywhere? To be clear, I've downloaded the sample pitch documents from here. I'm just wondering if there's a template somewhere (Final Draft, etc.) that I can fill in and submit, or should I just try and copy the format of the samples I have?

I'm Michael Brandt (no, not that one). I started my career as an actor after graduating from the University of San Diego/Old Globe Theatre's professional theatre training program. Since the pandemic, however, I have shifted my focus to trying to land on the writing staff of a TV show in New York City. Other than entering writing competitions (which I've been doing fairly regularly), I'm not sure how to get my work in front of the people who can help - literary agents, managers, etc. I don't seem to be able to find the right contact information to send a query letter, and I don't have the connections to point me in the right direction.

If anyone has any advice, recommendations, or stories from personal experience, I'd love to hear it.
