People, not ‘characters.’ People who have a life whose story I tell. They are fragments of humanity that like an archaeologist I find, excavate, collect, and undeservedly reassemble. It is a gift, not a skill, a responsibility, not a vanity. Writing is an immersion in humanity and humanity I need. I cannot be on the outside, but inside its tragedies and resurrections, its everydayness of which I am a participant, not a spectator. It is the reason why in this blog I write not only about a more or less professional activity, but about life.
And listening to the stories that people tell me, whisper in my ear, their desires, their dramas, missed dreams, unfulfilled loves, unredeemed faults, all take energy and time that totalize my existence and give me a center, an opportunity to rescue my life from a path of unfinished fragments. On the threshold of the third act of my life what I thought little more than a passion becomes inescapable.

Why are you doing this? It seems like a lot of work. I beta read in hopes other writers will do the same for me. (It has worked well for novels.) How does your video channel benefit you? I don't want to come across as suspicious of motives, just genuinely curious
