SYNOPSIS:

Tony is an ordinary teenager living in a dorms. He is in his third year of university, has friends and even works part-time. His life may seem calm and measured, if not for his unusual gift — the ability to see the souls of living people.

This gift allows Tony to skillfully manipulate others, which gives him a sense of superiority over others. Because of this, he becomes arrogant, distrustful and arrogant. However, despite his abilities, Tony often experiences boredom and loneliness. He lacks the mystery in the people around him.

However, Tony has another problem: he has lost his memory and does not remember anything from his life before the accident that happened to him four years ago.

During his hospital treatment, his attending physician suggests that he communicate with himself in front of a mirror in order to learn to accept and understand himself after memory loss. By communicating in this way, he creates a voice in his head that conducts a conversation with him. This voice becomes his friend, and Tony gives him the name Tiv (the inner voice). Tiv helps Tony with everything and controls him so that he does not lose control of himself.

In parallel with Tony's life, we learn about the life of a widowed serial killer, a veteran of the Afghan war, who works as a Professor at the university where Tony studies. The Professor lures certain people to his country house, where he kills them in a terrible way, leaving no trace. Thanks to this, he remains unpunished for many years. His best friend and colleague, a Detective, is working on a missing persons case. Arriving at the university, the Professor takes pills that cause him false emotions. This helps him hide the true essence of his soul from Tony.

One day, during the Mafia game, Tony meets a girl named Loni, whose soul he does not see, and falls in love with her. In an effort to win her love, he begins to make mistakes, and his stable world begins to crumble. Without seeing her soul, Tony understands what it's like to be ordinary. Periodically, memories come up before the accident. With each failure with Loni, Tony begins to realize that due to memory loss, he has lived and looked only at people's souls all this time, and knows nothing about their shells.

Outside of university, Tony moonlights as a delivery man at a pharmacy. During the delivery to the countryside at one of the stops, he sees a young man getting into the Professor's car, whose face after a while turns out to be on the notice sheet about his disappearance.

After another attempt to please Loni, Tony again finds himself helpless and unable to please her. Desperate, he goes into a breakaway, because of the consequences of which Tiv becomes an imaginary person from a voice in his head, whom only Tony sees.

During the next delivery to the countryside, Tony is late for the bus, and he has to wait a very long time for the next flight. There he comes across an advertisement about a missing young man and begins to suspect the Professor. The Professor, driving his car past the bus stop, notices Tony, but does not recognize him as his student, since during university his mind is under the influence of pills. Tony gets into the car, and thus sees the real soul of the Professor.

They have a conversation, after which the Professor tells a terrible story about the ambush of his squad during the Afghan war. Tony, having made a mistake, makes it clear to the Professor that he knows something about his secret life. The Professor becomes interested in how Tony figured him out, and he does not harm him and takes him to the dorms. He wonders what Tony will do.

The Professor stops taking pills and becomes obsessed with Tony, as he wonders how he understood and figured him out. After learning about his problem with a girl, he tricks Tony into coming to his country house on the anniversary of his wife's death. A Detective is also present at the country house.

Tony learns about the violent death of the Professor's wife at the hands of workers whom he hired to complete the country house. Thanks to his ability to see people's souls, Tony learns about the connection between the Professor's wife and his friend, the Detective. According to the letters story, it becomes clear that the Professor's wife was not so clean.

During the ensuing shootout, the Detective dies, and Tony, having been injured, loses consciousness, and some of his memories before the accident return to him.

Before the accident, Tony was a dreamer in love who wanted to become a screenwriter and had been working on his first script about a serial killer for a long time. He created a villain who could not be caught, but he could not find a suitable hero for his story. His girlfriend, Lonnie, suggests an idea: what if the main character could see the souls of living people — their real selves — and this is a great way to figure out the villain. Tony liked this idea, but he did not manage to implement it — he and the girl get into a car accident because the driver falls asleep at the wheel.

When Tony comes to after the accident, he discovers that his girlfriend is dead. This sight shocks him so much that he loses consciousness and hits his head on a stone.

Upon regaining consciousness, Tony sees how the Professor kills himself, realizing before that his guilt for the murders.

Back at his dorm, Tony meets with Loni. And thanks to her, he realizes that everything around him is unreal. He is in a coma, and his imagination has made him the main character in his script, where he has gained the ability to see the soul of living people.

Tony throws himself in front of a subway train to wake up from a coma.
