Claire is suffocating in a hollow marriage to David whose cold indifference has eroded every trace of warmth. When she accidentally reconnects with Mark—a married construction manager stifled by his wife Jessica’s ambition—their shared despair ignites a passionate, ill-fated affair.

What they don’t know is that their respective spouses are already entangled in an affair with each other—one far more perverse than Claire and Mark’s desperate escape.

As Claire and Mark’s passion curdles into obsession, their private resentments fester. Claire fixates on Jessica as the root of their problem; Mark fantasizes about David vanishing.
