When a young woman's demo recording unexpectedly leaks and becomes a viral sensation, she must navigate the cutthroat music industry and choose between chasing stardom and staying true to herself.
SYNOPSIS:
Grace Meyer is a talented singer-songwriter who loses her corporate job and returns home to regroup. At a karaoke bar, she meets Ted, a talent scout who takes her to a recording studio where she meets the famous artist Rydel. During a session, Grace offers a creative suggestion that transforms one of Rydel's songs—and impresses everyone in the room.
When Grace records backup vocals for Rydel's track "Sunshine," she delivers a stunning performance. However, the recording leaks online as an "anonymous female" version, creating an internet mystery while Rydel's original wins a Grammy. Seizing the moment, Rydel invites Grace to record an entire EP in just 24 hours and perform a duet at his sold-out show.
The experience proves overwhelming rather than triumphant. Grace's hastily produced EP flops critically and commercially, forcing her to move back in with her parents in defeat. Just when she's given up on music entirely, a legendary producer named Maisie Freed reaches out after hearing Grace's vocals on Rydel's song. Maisie becomes Grace's mentor, helping her create authentic, meaningful music rather than commercially manufactured content.
Years later, Grace has become a successful touring artist. As she headlines her own shows and builds a genuine career, she remains grounded by her supportive parents and her lifelong best friend Lucy—now her manager. Grace discovers that real success comes not from chasing trends or industry pressures, but from trusting her instincts and staying true to her artistic voice.
