ORE LINE

ORE LINE
By Aaron Blea

GENRE: Thriller / Suspense
LOGLINE:

On a remote overnight train to Kiruna, an ex-Special Forces engineer consulting on a $12 billion rare-earth mineral deal must fight car-by-car through a team of assassins targeting his colleague, turning the isolated European rail line itself into a kill zone to stop a rival consortium from sabotaging the deal before they reach the final station.

SYNOPSIS:

A retired Special Forces engineer haunted by a mission in Iraq takes a Swedish night train with a mining executive client, Jess, to validate a multi‑billion‑dollar ore deal. Already uneasy traveling without his usual gear and restricted by local weapons laws, Dave starts noticing coordinated behavior and a suspicious blonde couple as the train heads into the Arctic night. When that couple and their embedded team launch a close‑quarters assassination attempt in the bistro car, Jess is badly wounded and Dave is forced to fight with improvised weapons, an ankle trauma kit, and his training instead of an arsenal.

Dave stabilizes Jess with a tourniquet and leaves him armed in their sleeper while he pushes forward car by car, moving through sleeping passengers and hidden attackers to reach the crew and trigger an external response. As Dave kills his way toward the front, passengers finally see the bloodshed and begin calling for help, just as a firefight at the control car kills the train manager and injures a young attendant whom Dave also treats. By the time the train rolls into the final station, police and tactical units are waiting; the remaining assassins are ambushed on the platform, and the train is cleared. Dave is cuffed and prone when he finally spots Jess alive among the survivors, and the script ends not on triumph, but on the quiet emotional release of two men who barely survived a moving kill box.
