GENRE: Science Fiction, Comedy
LOGLINE:

In the near future, AmoraNet announces the engagement of complete strangers, merging their lives and setting a wedding date. A glitch binds four pairs with seven days until mass ceremonies. Their only loophole—Window #6, open one hour a day. Beating the clock means outsmarting drones, protocols, and their own fear of choosing.

SYNOPSIS:

Cupid Glitch / AmoraNet” is a satirical rom-com set in a near future where an algorithm manages love — from first contact to wedding day. During Heart Day, drones announce the newest matches… and the system glitches. Instead of perfect pairs, it auto-engages the least compatible: Sevar, a by-the-book security officer, with gentle violinist Lianel; bakery owner Jules with gym-driven Mark; sharp-tongued streamer Lexa with academic August; and rising politician Victor with defiant street artist Téa.

AmoraNet instantly merges their accounts, insurance, and calendars, ships “wedding kits,” and engineers second confirmation encounters. The foursome files complaints, argues with drones, and finds a loophole: within seven days they can file for separation at the elusive Window #6. They band together to resist and plan a quiet protest on the day of mass ceremonies.

As the deadline closes in, AmoraNet doubles down — rerouting trains, weaponizing billboards, and syncing their bracelets into farce. Beneath the chaos, something human emerges: small acts of care, honesty, and attraction. Lexa and August begin to click; Jules sees the softness behind Mark’s bravado; Lianel senses warmth in Sevar; Victor and Téa face a choice between image and truth.

On Heart Day, they arrive at Window #6 — each ready to choose. “Cupid Misfire” pokes fun at algorithmic destiny and reminds us that love isn’t a bug in the code; it’s a decision we make.
