THE HOLLOWING

THE HOLLOWING
By Johnathan Corley

GENRE: Horror
LOGLINE:

After a family séance opens a doorway to something unspeakable, a grief-stricken mother must confront a malevolent entity—and the trauma it feeds on—to protect her children from possession, mutilation, and death.

SYNOPSIS:

On Halloween night, the Navarro family gathers for what should be a warm, chaotic evening of traditions, pranks, and laughter. But when the kids unearth an old spirit board, they unwittingly invite something ancient into their home. At first, it’s tricks in the shadows, whispers in the hall, the suggestion of a gray figure stalking the corners of the house. Then the haunting becomes violent, intimate, and inescapable.

Angelina and Nathan fight to protect their children as the entity sets its sights on them one by one — their daughter speaking in another voice, their son’s boyfriend attacked, their mother torn apart, their faith tested and abandoned. The board reveals a connection to Isabella Uley, a woman once subjected to a failed exorcism in the 1950s, and the Navarros realize they aren’t just dealing with a ghost — but a demonic force that feeds on family bonds, twisting love into agony.

As the haunting escalates to bloodshed, betrayals, and impossible choices, survival means more than defeating a demon. It means confronting the cycles of grief, guilt, and violence that bind them, before they too become part of its legacy.

A chilling family-driven horror in the lineage of Hereditary and The Exorcist, The Hollowing asks how far a family will go to protect each other when love itself becomes the weapon.
