In Medieval England, werewolves plague the land. The King sends Seer Kizzy Faw to find a fabled artefact, the MoonWraith, which created the werewolves, to stop them. What happens when an accident causes the Seer to lose her gift of Sight?

SYNOPSIS:

The TV series is set in Medieval Europe. Centuries prior, in the year 750 CE, a greedy, power-hungry sorcerer combined magick and alchemy to create the talisman known as the MoonWraith. Using the MoonWraith, the sorcerer transformed a select few of his slaves into werewolves. The werewolves were used as terror weapons to extort money and land, increasing the sorcerer’s personal holdings, and as savage guards, preventing the sorcerer’s many enemies from retaliating against him. The sorcerer hid the MoonWraith away, not wanting to run the risk of anyone else gaining control of it and use it to create their own werewolf pack or use the talisman’s power to cure his own servants. As time went on, and the sorcerer had need of more werewolves, he allowed those already created to turn others, increasing the numbers of the pack. Eventually, the pack grew too large to be controlled, even by someone of the sorcerer’s power. The werewolves turned on the sorcerer, killing him. With the sorcerer’s death, the location of the hidden MoonWraith was lost and there was no longer any control over the werewolves. They ran rampant across the countryside, killing and turning people at will, increasing their population, evolving their own society. Over time, the number of the werewolves and the threat they posed grew. However, no way existed to eliminate them, as they were too widespread and able to replenish their numbers so easily.

At last, historians and scholars have learned of the existence of the MoonWraith. What’s more, the general location of the talisman may have been determined. King Edward has ordered a fort built atop the ancient silver mine deep inside vast woodlands where the MoonWraith is thought to have been hidden away so long ago. Stationed in the fort are the miners who labor day and night in the silver mine, searching for the MoonWraith, smiths who work the silver into weapons, and soldiers who use these weapons against the werewolves to protect the people of the fort. The werewolves are just as determined that the MoonWraith not be found. The humans seek it in the hope that the same object which created the werewolves can be used to destroy them; the werewolves seek it to keep that from happening, wishing destroy the one thing capable of wiping out their race.

Enter Kizzy Faw, a young Seer sent to the fort by King Edward in the hope that she can use her power of “the Sight” to locate the MoonWraith. However, Kizzy’s arrival is complicated by a werewolf attack, leading to her sustaining a head injury, which robs her of her power. Now, Kizzy is out of her league and in grave danger, required to stay in the hope of regaining her abilities while trying to survive in the midst of the war.
