SYNOPSIS:

BLINK is a psychological horror that follows TREY, a 15-year-old boy found naked, mute, and covered in blood in an abandoned house, the sole survivor of an incident that claimed the lives of his two friends, Cory and Aiden. Returned to his seemingly loving and concerned parents, KIM and DARREN, and his younger sister, MICHELLE, Trey struggles to reintegrate. His homecoming quickly spirals into a waking nightmare. Plagued by grotesque hallucinations, demonic whispers, and an inability to eat or speak, Trey experiences terrifying flashes of the past—memories of getting lost in the Spring Dale Woods with his friends and discovering a sinister, mirror-covered house. As doctors and a psychologist try to treat his mutism and mysterious bruises, Trey's reality begins to fracture. He sees his family and home shift into decaying, monstrous versions of themselves, and he discovers clues—a severed finger, a pentagram under his parents' bed, the decomposing family cat—that suggest a horrifying truth. The story masterfully blurs the line between Trey's PTSD and a genuine supernatural infestation. He is haunted by the demonic entities that killed his friends, who demand he "let them in." Through a series of terrifying visions and time loops, Trey uncovers the awful reality: his parents are part of a demonic cult, and the "rescue" was a setup. The boys were targeted for a ritual to serve as vessels for demons. His friends were too weak, but Trey's strength makes him the perfect candidate. A desperate exorcism performed by his parents and a priest fails catastrophically when Trey, broken and defeated, finally gives the demon permission to enter. The entity fully possesses him, leading to the gruesome slaughter of his parents and the priest. The screenplay ends on a chilling note, revealing that the entire opening scene was a loop: the police once again find Trey as the "sole survivor" of a massacre, but he is now fully possessed. He and his sister, Michelle (who may also be compromised), escape after murdering the officers transporting them, leaving them free to continue the cycle of evil, lost in the woods from which the nightmare began.
