WHITE DEVIL

WHITE DEVIL
By Joshua Geyer

GENRE: Mystery, Horror
LOGLINE: When a jungle village fractures under the pressure of outsiders, a disgraced hunter returns with mercenaries to capture a myth only to awaken the “White Devil,” a feral man raised by the jungle and bound to an albino hyena whose laughter signals precision death, forcing everyone to choose between progress bought with blood and a wilderness that will take back what it’s owed.

SYNOPSIS:

Deep within an equatorial jungle governed by rules older than language, there exists a phenomenon known as the Stillness a time when the jungle itself seems to stop breathing. During these moments, villages seal their doors, animals vanish, and no human dares cross the boundary. Those who do are sometimes taken by a figure whispered about only in fear: the White Devil. Unknown to the world, the White Devil is not a spirit but a man abandoned as a child, sealed in a crate and parachuted into the jungle decades earlier. Raised not by people but by the ecosystem itself, he survives through instinct, restraint, and balance. He is bonded to an albino hyena known as the Laughter, a massive, intelligent predator whose echoing cackle heralds judgment. Together, they act as the jungle’s correction precise, merciless, and never wasteful. The Devil does not kill indiscriminately. He protects the jungle and the villages that live in balance with it. Outsiders who exploit, poach, or violate its laws disappear. Their tools are left behind. Their bodies are not. The fragile equilibrium shatters when Sefu, a once-respected hunter turned exile, returns after years away armed with modern funding, concrete, and a pact with Lenoir, a broken former French Foreign Legion commander obsessed with capturing the Devil. Their arrival brings roads, logging crews, and weapons into the jungle’s heart. As the land is reshaped, the Stillness begins to return longer, deeper, and more frequent. When villagers begin vanishing and foreign loggers are erased overnight, it becomes clear the jungle has begun correcting again. What follows is not a war, but a reckoning one that forces every character to confront what “progress” truly costs. As Sefu and Lenoir escalate their hunt, the White Devil is drawn closer to the human world than ever before, challenging the one rule he has never broken: remain unseen. The final conflict pits ideology against instinct, civilization against ecology, and vengeance against survival culminating in a confrontation where the jungle will decide who belongs… and who will be fed to it. WHITE DEVIL is a grounded mythic thriller part survival drama, part modern folklore exploring humanity’s relationship with nature, colonial arrogance, and the price of disrupting an ecosystem that does not forget, does not forgive, and does not miss.
