CONNECTION

CONNECTION
By Samuel Kinsella

GENRE: Drama, Comedy
LOGLINE:

A passionate extramarital affair spirals into a crisis of conscience when the wife’s lover becomes her husband’s closest friend.

SYNOPSIS:

Caleb sleeps with a married woman and ends up platonically falling for her husband. Caleb’s a man running from his own loneliness. Maggie’s a woman who’s running from the idea of settling, ten years into a marriage. Gabe’s a heartbreakingly genuine beacon of goodness unknowingly caught in the middle of this affair. Maggie, in her pursuit of danger and excitement, invites Caleb to dinner with Gabe as a silent humiliation, but as Caleb gets to know Gabe, he’s torn between his false companionship with Maggie and the prospect of genuine non-toxic male friendship with Gabe. They help each other surmount their fears, confront their insecurities, and learn what it is to have real support.

Set in the suburban monotony of tract houses, yoga mats, and hotel parking lots, Connection is a dark comedy about men learning to be friends and what that friendship costs when it stems from a place of deception.
