SYNOPSIS:

Xavier Laroch owns an extremely successful boutique in a district slated for urban renewal. He is approached several times by attorney Garvin Holden with offers to buy him out and Xavier rejects them all. Xavier is given a final offer from Garvin and a high city official that he rejects with a flair and is murdered when his back is turned. Phyllis Taurens buys La Boutique from a man she thinks is Xavier and the sale is brokered by Garvin. Baffling staff and customers, Xavier enters the boutique every day thinking he still owns and operates it, but no one sees him except Phyllis's five year old daughter Shelley, until her mom hires Diedre. Two years later Garvin returns with another offer to buy La Boutique from Phyllis and he is willing to kill her, her husband and daughter to get it. Xavier and Phyllis have other things in common; men who think La Boutique is an expendable hobby and their mutual love of Shelley. Brendon Elliot, Xavier's lover returns, pulls the pieces together, solves Xavier's murder and saves the Taurens family.
