SYNOPSIS:

TROPICAL SPLASH COMPANY. The story explores the world of pool cleaners in an entertaining escapade of antics. It's a broad comedy that sparkles with humor and colorful zany characters, with none stop action and surprises around every turn. The humor is diverse ranging from one-liners and sexual jokes to running gags . It’s basically “Dodgeball” set in the world of pool cleaning. The story centers around a rag tag pool company run by RICK (50's) – a gruff, but likeable Michigan transplant. His motley crew of twenty year olds consists of: Son, surfer LYNDON, his roommate, the durable EVAN. With girls and surfing on their mines they slack their way through each day. Evans cousin KENNY who is accident pron. His adorable secretary JENNIFER who is always ready to help out. NGUYEN, an obsessive compulsive Asian guy who always wears a germ mask and appears from out of nowhere. DEJOHN, an aspiring reggae singer who acts Jamaican, and a M.I.T. drop out. Ex Hammer employee CAITLIN, with pay back on her mind. These cleaners do anything they can to avoid cleaning pools. Boss RICK PRESTON (50's) has his own troubles. His unscrupulous arch rival and Harvard man, PHIL HAMMER is stealing their territory, with his spiffy attire employees. They only have one hope - to win the city council contract. In order to win they have to compete in a competition for the best pool cleaners. But the competition takes a nasty turn when Rick has a terrible "ACCIDENT" and goes into a coma. Phil offers to buy Lyndon out. But Lyndon is confused on what he should do, which makes the Tropical crew nervous. All looks hopeless until Rick's supposedly dead brother, Special Forces ROB PRESTON (RPG) shows up. Using his military skills and a "Patton" like speech, he whips the crew into shape to prepare them for the competition. The games begin but Phil sabotages Tropical. Phil brings along his secret weapon. The Tropical crew is doomed. Lyndon gets his head clear, and comes to the rescue with a humorous "Animal House" type pep talk - they aren't quitters. They come up with their own super plan. The crews must now compete against each other the old fashion way. The competition is close but Hammer wins! All seems lost until the police swarm in. Hammer and his assistant, the buffed personal trainer JACQUE are arrested. Hammer escapes but crashes his truck into a pool - poetic justice. The Tropical Splash team win the contract but more importantly each member of the team learns they aren't quitters.

Phillip E. Hardy, "The Real Deal"

Sounds like a fun story. It also reminds me of Used Car kind of vibe. That was a cool, old Kurt Russell comedy.
