SYNOPSIS:
A young Pastor struggles to save his Church, which is scheduled to be demolished the day after Christmas. As he meets with the land development corporation which is refusing to renew his land lease, a Mexican-American girl and an Italian-American teen boy meet secretly in the Church garden as they hope to keep their relationship low key due to their families coming from different ethnic backgrounds. Her young brother overhears the plan to close the Church and runs off to enact a deed which in his mind would stop Christmas from being celebrated and thus save his Church. In the process he meets a white bearded stranger who turns out to be St. Nicholas. Together they enlist the teens and their friends to confront the corporation as the entire city of Chicago comes to learn of the Church’s plight and rallies to preserve this symbol of Immigration to America for over 100 years. In a miraculous event the true identity of the stranger comes to be known as the object of the theft of Christmas is returned to its rightful place. Based on the novel "Stolen Christmas" by Arthur Cola
