Love the concept, Landis! Your website and trailer are equally impressive. I just held back one star because I'd like to see your actual logline exclusively focus on your protagonist while teasing the plot. i.e. something like "When a socially awkward Japanese teenager moves to America, he collides with culture and is forced out of his introversion." This way the audience gets hooked by HIS story, not by the film itself, if you know what I mean. Fine to intro it as "an award-winning short" but I wouldn't include it in the actual logline, since a logline is meant to dangle a carrot. That said, you hooked me! I loved how you explained the Hikikomori concept on your site, since I was completely unaware of it. I will definitely download and watch! KUDOS to you.
Thank you, Jean Buschmann
