SYNOPSIS:
Skyden McKenzie is a 30-something mother of two. She's built a successful career, she is happily married, and Skyden is a typical social network user. Through a popular networking site, she is contacted by Megan, her best friend from junior high school. Skyden and Megan reminisce, catch up, and share pictures of their families. Megan remarks that Skyden's daughter, Kelsey, is beautiful - a carbon copy of Skyden in junior high. As the online conversation continues, Megan begins asking probing questions about Skyden's relationship with her husband. What's more, Megan makes inappropriate comments about Kelsey. As Megan's remarks become more intrusive and disturbing, Skyden blocks Megan and effectively cuts off communication. What Skyden doesn't know is that Megan isn't Megan at all, but one of Skyden's old 7th grade classmates with a severe psychological disorder. By the time Skyden clears her photo albums and personal information from her online profile, it's too late. She has inadvertently supplied him with every bit of personal information he needs to find her. When a terrifying attempt to abduct Kelsey is thwarted, law enforcement officials become involved. But the counsel the detective provide is little consolation. Skyden and her husband get an alarming education about how easily personal information is made accessible to virtually anyone with access to the internet. Every aspect of the family's lives is compromised. The McKenzie's go into lock-down mode. Skyden's husband takes a leave of absence to stay close to home. Kelsey goes nowhere without a chaperone. And Skyden is devastated by the realization that she is responsible for putting her family in the crosshairs of this monster. Through determined efforts on the part of the detectives a suspect is apprehended. He is an old classmate of Skyden's with a history of sexual assault - most recently, a sexual assault against a minor. What's more, he's failed the polygraph test. The police believe they have their perpetrator. But the detectives discover too late that they've arrested the wrong man. The McKenzie's are horrified when the elusive psychopath abducts Kelsey. When the face-to-face confrontation occurs between Skyden and the madman, he learns that his terrified, cowering victim has been transformed into a ferocious and protective mother.
