SYNOPSIS:

Hope Greenham, a beautiful 16, is star pupil at Miss Gertrude Delicate's Academy for Young Ladies in 1960s England. Joanna, her quieter twin sister, lives in her shadow. When lascivious school caretaker Edwin Mallory takes a shine to Hope, she responds to him out of bravado. What follows is both bizarre and tragic as the relationship between the two sisters is tested to the full. Adapted from the novel by Ursula Holden.
