A dying man sails into the adventure of a lifetime.

SYNOPSIS:

Principal Rick Goodman lost his wife to cancer twelve years ago. Rick and his only child, Elizabeth, are bonded (and insulated from others) by the heartbreak of her mother’s death. After a routine physical Rick is diagnosed with inoperable cancer. Goodman decides to spare his only daughter the despair of watching him slowly die (like her mother) in a hospital. He sets sail into what he believes will be his final resting place-the Atlantic Ocean. His emaciated body is found by the mystical Mambo, a spiritual healer who uses island homeopathy to cure Rick. In exchange for healing his mind and body, Mambo assigns Rick a task to complete in Africa. Meanwhile, Rick’s daughter believes he has been lost at sea after a devastating hurricane rips across the ocean while Rick is on Mambo’s island. Despite a mysterious phone call, Elizabeth has no idea the adventure her father has embarked upon. Rick is captured by pirates, saves four missionaries and then escapes through the African jungle. Meanwhile, Elizabeth is relentless in her quest to find her father’s boat and his body.
