A young Army pilot elopes with his childhood sweetheart over her father's opposition, only to be separated soon after by the bombing of Pearl Harbor. As her father continues his attempts to destroy their love, he struggles to remain true to his vows, and to stay alive in the forbidden skies of China as a Flying Tiger.
