I have a personal favor to ask. Dr. Henry Pickford is a very dear friend of mine. He's a dedicated academic and one of the smartest people on planet earth. Linguist, mathematician, philosophy, expert on artificial intelligence, you name it. I actually got a concussion reading one of his books. Just in case anyone is curious about what I do… Currently, we are waiting for the third installment of our graphic novel series The Machine Stops to come out next month. The publisher is Alterna and the distributor is Comixology. The Machine Stops is sci fi adapted from EM Forster's short story of the same title. Reviews have been strong and we have already received one offer for the film rights. You can see some of the art on our Facebook page or at Comixology.com. Previously, I have written series published by Marvel, Zenescope, Bluewater and Orbit. On the film side, I'm producer on a feature to be shot in Minneapolis this summer. Director is Dave Ash. I produced his previous films Connected and 2021. We have a great working relationship and I am in awe of his abilities. Last year I exec produced If You're Serious, shot entirely in China. We were nominated by the Motion Pictures Sound Editors for a Golden Reel. Didn't win but got to meet George Lucas. On the television side, I'm writing two pilots, one on assignment and one is my own. For Disney/Hyperion, I spent the winter of 2010 in the Arctic freezing my pens off while following the ice road drivers made famous by the long-running History Channel series Ice Road Truckers. The result was the book On Thin Ice, published around the world. That was an epic adventure. Hoping that will become a film, too. Nice to meet new people. Thanks for reaching out to me.
