Sounds intriguing. I know so little about history, one of those subjects I didn't like in school. However, my interest has been piqued in recent years. This story sounds like and 'Against All Odds' tale, which I always have a penchant for. Hope it goes well for you!

I too often gave 5 stars, but this powerful logline truly deserves them!!

I agree Rutger, I often am a bit too generous when it comes to stars. This one sounds like it has that truly epic quality, you know precisely the stuff dreams are made of! :) The only thing I wonder about is how many bridges might have been burned along the way....?? Guess will just have to watch it to find out...

Did not do my homework. Checked. It is going to be a movie. Found this: http://www.searavenpress.com/nathan-bedford-forrest-screenplay-civil-war...

Now I'm really curious.

"Lochlainn Seabrook has signed on with renowned filmmaker Christopher Forbes (of Forbes Film), to bring Lochlainn’s new screenplay A Rebel Born - the true life story of the great Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest - to the big screen. "

Would love to read the screenplay, but I'm pretty sure because of obvious reasons that's not going to happen.

I feel your not just talking about "burned bridges" in the movie itself.

But good luck Mr. Seabrook,! Reading this logline, even your last name works in your favor.

Could we be talking about an pseudonym and/or an alter ego?

Lochlainn Seabrook

LOCHLAINN'S MANAGEMENT TEAM/PUBLISHER COMMENTS: Yes, Lochlainn's script was eventually made into a movie by Forbes Film. However, we estimate that the producer-director and actors used less than 5 percent of Lochlainn's actual script. They also added their own dialogue, removed most of Loch's dialogue, deleted numerous scenes (many of them vital to the storyline), and even changed the nature of the some of the characters, including the protagonist, into people they were not in real life.

The problem: Loch's original script is history-based. The Forbes Film version is not - which makes it historically misleading, missing the entire intention of the film. Also, the Forbes Film version doesn't match Lochlainn's logline, with the result that their version represents neither Loch or his writing. This is why we're continuing to pitch the screenplay: we're looking for a filmmaker who will adhere to Loch's screenplay (as much as possible). Please contact us if you're interested.

For those who'd like to read Lochlainn's original script we've made it available in book form. To purchase a copy visit this page on our Website: https://www.searavenpress.com/nathan-bedford-forrest-screenplay-civil-wa...

Welcome to Hollywood, where producers with large ego's favorite hobby is to mess up screenplays. And casting directors cast terrible actors/actesses with the excuse there is no money. But you were part of a movie as a writer, and that is HUGE, they just f..k.d it up for you. Happens all the time!!
