When a divine burnout in a camper van is tasked with guiding the Second Coming — now a stoner IT guy with anxiety — he recruits a washed-up demon-turned-media-consultant to help reboot humanity’s faith before the universe gets permanently unplugged.
SYNOPSIS:
When the Powers That Be decide the universe needs a reboot, they send their most available messenger, Peter Saint — a two-thousand-year-old celestial burnout living in a camper van — to find and inspire the Second Coming. Unfortunately, the messiah turns out to be Jim Kristein, a remote-working IT guy with anxiety, a vape pen, and absolutely no interest in saving anyone, let alone the world.
With four months until cosmic deletion, Peter enlists the help of Karl, a demon with a punk rock aesthetic, a grudge against Hell’s upper management, and a gift for going viral. Together, this unlikely trio must kickstart a modern-day spiritual awakening, outmaneuver Hell’s influencer-in-chief (an alpha-bro anti-Christ), and try not to accidentally start the apocalypse.
Told through the lens of a documentary crew, Guardian Anghells is a genre-bending comedy about legacy, faith, and finding meaning in the chaos of the digital age. Think The Office meets Good Omens with a splash of The Righteous Gemstones — irreverent, heartfelt, and just a little blasphemous.
