A young music teacher, and only child, tries to come to terms with a spirit who claims she’s his younger sister. She desperately tries to warn him that her killer, a descendant of Ed Gein, is coming to skin him alive.
SYNOPSIS:
Another twist in the already twisted urban myth of the Smith Sisters, The Progeny takes place in present day Wisconsin just a few miles from serial killer Ed Gein’s farm.
John Smith, a young music teacher, struggles with his sexuality and teacher/ student relationships and takes solace in his only friend, an interactive virtual assistant.
The assistant is possessed by a female spirit claiming to be his younger sister who knows far too much about John’s personal life.
John receives a beautifully wrapped present and when he opens it he finds a guitar strap made from human skin.
The possessed assistant is terrified and warns John that their brother, a descendant of Ed Gein, sent the gift and intends to skin John alive.
In the climactic confrontation between John and Ed Gein Jr., John turns a corner in his life and is catalyzed into vengeful retribution.
