Nelson Farber's Lounge Discussions

We are a new director's workshop in NYC. Initial meeting is Monday, October 13th in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, in the evening. We are modeled on earlier workshops such as Directors & Actors and Directors NYC. At each session a scene will be given out in advance and directors will have a "round-robin" with the actors, building on the earlier work of follow directors or taking the scene in a new direction. I've been on Stage 32 for a little over a week, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only have I met many new acquaintances, but persons whom I am confident will be friends and colleagues. Professionally, I inhabit two worlds, which I am striving to merge into one. I am a filmmaker and TV journalist, and many of my pieces have appeared on top German broadcasters. I am also a practicing New York attorney, dividing time between NYC and Berlin. I look forward to collaborating with other filmmakers on projects creatively, and also in assisting them on the legal side of things. I look forward to dropping into the lounge from time to time!
