After failing miserably as a writer in the big city, a small town country boy returns home only to find out his great uncle was a satanic priest and before he died put a curse on the town he grew up in.

When an African American public school principal challenges lazy and incompetent teachers, opposing forces conspire to get rid of her. She is arbitrarily demoted and must fight to regain her position.
JC Young, I agree with Dave, but was told to change the names to protect the guilty : ).
James, All events are true and documentation in book to prove it. A lawyer agrees. with Alle, truth is the best defense for slander.
David, Racial tensions lurk in the background. i have revised Logline:A conscientious no-nonsense inner-city school principal is ousted after she challanges some complacent dissident teachers, and she must battle a dysfunctional school system to regain her position. What do you think?
Her character flaws are many. but the main one is she expects teachers to teach. Is she crazy.
James, Her quest is not to have a better school system but to have a school where teachers will teach and black children will learn.

I've written the Outline and am now on the Beat Sheet, 8 Sequences, 48 Beats. I know there's always a passionate outpouring about spontaneity versus planning but I've learned the hard way that this is what I do. It's all coming together, even though I am finding I have to go back and alter the outline to fit the ever evolving beast. Yeah, beast not beats. I'd love to hear from other writers about this stage of the process. Your thoughts? Dreams? Feel free to weigh in.

This is a complex horror, with several twist which all come together at the end of the story, as I feel a good story does. Too much for a simple Logline. I've gotten some great advice from a lot of people on this and I thank you all. But if there's any one thing I've noticed after reading a lot of the comments. A lot of contradictions lol.
A small town man discovers a curse on his town and the ones he loves, which he must destroy or lose them both forever.

He struggles with staying and helping or returning to his easy life. Dale: the writer must struggle. He needs to make a choice - one way or the other. If he stays, he could die, if he leaves, he lives and the town dies.
