Adapted from the prominent autobiography "Topless Prophet" which inspired the Cinemax reality show of the same name, the true story of Alan Markovitz, a rebellious hellion fighting the shadow of his austere Holocaust survivor father, who enters the world of topless entertainment. Along the way he faces constant conflict and chaos such as an invading biker gang, 1st Amendment court fights, more than a couple murder attempts (Including one by his own business partner!), and even the birth of the lap dance.

It is a behind-the-curtains look at an iconic yet notorious world; how an unlikely kid’s tenacity and ingenuity literally transforms the industry, and at its core…is a father-son love story.

A Personal Note: Screenwriter Ken Droz knows the story quite well, having attended the same high school as Alan, and knew many key players such as Detroit Mayor Coleman Young, the police commander Alan dealt with, and even Alan’s partner who contracted a murder-for-hire plot. All these components helped the script get accepted into the Sundance Institute Screenwriting Workshop.
