When a little girl’s life is turned upside down by a rare cancer, the housing project springs into action, finding a cure in the future.

SYNOPSIS:

A puppet master and his puppet are on a journey to find a new home after being fired from the circus. They come across an apartment complex that is section 8 housing. A scientist who vanished several months prior has left the apartment that they are offering. After the puppet accidentally touches a piece of scientific equipment that was left behind, flashes of light zoom across the room, and then, out of nowhere, a naked Asian man appears in the corner of the room. The Asian scientist and the puppet master come to an agreement to share the apartment. A child living in the apartment next door has a rare disease, and one day, while playing in the hallway with a friend, she passes out. The puppet master and the scientist become attached to the little girl and try to find ways to get her help. The scientist had accidentally brought back a newspaper from the future with an article about a doctor who found the cure for the very same disease. They contact him, but he doesn't believe them.

After much persuasion, he finally agrees to try, but informs them that it will be very expensive. The entire building complex comes together to have a fundraiser to raise money for the experimental trials. Only by accident does the doctor find the cure. The puppet master and the time traveler decide to see what riches they can bring back from the future, climb into the time machine, and disappear. Months later, while someone else is looking at the apartment, a flash of light appears across the room, revealing their return.
