Ambra Chavira

Born into modest beginnings in the small town of Madera, CA, my passion for writing began as a way to entertain myself in my attempt to steer clear of my older siblings’ wrath. The youngest of three, most days were spent soaring around the house, blanket tied around my neck, reenacting the movies I created in my head as I hopped around the couch. Because yes, the floor was made of lava.

Once I grew into the method of my madness and realized my true calling as a writer, I added a double minor in TV, Film and New Media and Chicano/a studies to my college education. It was during this time that I discovered my voice and sense of story. A few years after graduation, with my life packed in the backseat of my car, I made the ‘leap of faith’ move to Los Angeles.

After several PA jobs, a slew of short films and a Floor Manager gig on a local hospital show, I shifted my focus to a TV Pilot I hope to option so I can share my vision with the world. And that vision is unique, witty, multifaceted and able to connect with others to make them feel on a much deeper level than they thought possible. I am a writer at heart and following this path is my destiny. It’s who I am.
