SYNOPSIS:

Maxwell Carter, a former NIS agent is hired by eccentric Software Billionaire Will Porter, to head his new security (and industrial espionage) department. Will gives Max a ticket on the madden voyage of his new ocean liner, a near rivet for rivet replica of the TITANIC. But unknown to all an international terrorist organization plans to hijack the ship, blow up the lifeboats, cut radio contact and take the vessel far from the shipping lanes and a timely rescue, and SINK it with all hands. They infiltrate the crew by Hijacking one of the transport busses and take the place of the passengers. On board Max notices an old adversary of his, the beautiful deadly and nefarious Chinese agent Mei Ling. What is she up to? her appearance is always bad news. When he is "checking her out" in her cabin, the terrorists strike. The ship is taken over, the lifeboats are blown up . Two Terrorists enter Mei Ling's Cabin. They want to rape her, but They didn't realize Max was there too. Max and Mei make short work of the poor guys, and take their weapons and gear. Now Max and Mei Ling MUST join forces to save themselves and the other people on board. They have to get to the engine room and stop the engines---and recruit the rest of the crew to fight off the terrorists, retake the bridge and save the ship before it is too late. But there is no direct route to the engine room from their deck. Terrorists patrol the passageways, they are trapped in Mei Ling's Cabin. They must rapel down the side of the moving, lurching ship, in the dark, some two decks down and get in again thru the portholes. Sneaking past guards, they find a back stairwell to the engine room and neutralize the guards there. He explains his plan to the crew , but the Engines are too big to sabotage without explosives---A crewman suggests they sabotage the oil to the boilers instead--by removing several key valves and hiding the spares. They do so, and Vent the remaining steam, stopping the ship. Amhed Kabul, realizing what has happened, calls the submarine he had waiting at the rendezvous point, to help evacuate his men and salvage his plans for the ship. There is a battle between armed crew and some terrorists in the Second class dining hall. And more crew get weapons---The sub shows up and begins to take terrorists off the ship--he sends the armed crew to stop them. Meanwhile He, Mei Ling and Nigel, one of the crew who has had military training, decide to take the bridge. They get caught I a fire fight, and nearly run out of ammo when Mei Ling surrenders them all to the terrorists. She insists on talking to Ahmed. She tells him she will give him a 3 million dollar payoff she had planed to use to secretly buy Missile guidance software from a turncoat in Will's company if she can get the drive herself and they will give her a seat in their submarine. Ahmed agrees---but later double crosses her taking both the drive and the money. Meanwhile the sub has to move away from the side of the ship as the crew fires on it. It ties up at the bow and the remaining terrorists rush to board it. Mei ling, Max and Nigel are left tied up on the bridge to "drown with the others" Mei Ling breaks free, but does not untie the other men. She rushes to the bow, to try to intercept Ahmed. max gets free, but he fears that if the Terrorists get off the ship, they will then use the sub to sink the vessel. He sees the emergency Anchor release switch. and presses it. Ahmed is on the Sub Deck telling his leader about the money when the 28,000 pound bow anchor Smashes into them and into the Sub, which explodes taking Mei Lings Drive and money with it. She pounds on the railing in frustration. All looks well, Max is hailed as a hero as a dinner is held in his honor---When a sailor. cleaning below decks discovers a bomb. Max is called to disarm it. As he and Nigel work on it, another bomb is discovered in the next compartment---and another one in the next. Each compartment has a bomb below the water line, and each are set to go off in 45 minutes. Nigel and Max have to work fast. At least 12 compartments have to remain intact. They work their way forward, but one bomb goes off prematurely, flooding the next compartment. They have to go around the long way. One more bomb needs to be disarmed to save enough compartments. They almost reach the last bomb when BOOM! it explodes--Killing Nigel---and the rest of the bombs go off in the forward compartments---The Ship really IS sinking now. Max watches a video on how the original Titanic sank and notices something. The stern broke off. Why didn't it float? The Ships architect explains that the cut was not clean. The plates in the bulkheads were sprung by the stress before the break, and the Keel was still attached to the rest of the ship. Max asks if they have time to cut the keel and other frame members before they twist the stern apart. There are not enough torches or time. Explosives! Yes, we can use the bombs we deactivated to blow the stern off intact. The plan is put into effect the bombs are repositioned in place, even Will helps. But where is Mei Ling? The computer! Mei Ling's contact had a computer--- She goes to the man's room and downloads the data into her own drive----but Someone is in the room Its ZAK one of the terrorists, a Huge man with a thick red beard. She tries to fight him, but even her skills fail, he knocks her unconscious, just as Max barges in. They fight over Zac's AKM leaning against the wall, Max gets the weapon and Kills Zak. Max carries the unconscious Mei ling to the stern that is rising out of the water sooner than expected.--Finally the bombs go off, cutting off the stern, which floats, and saves the passengers A Navy ship the USS Spruance , picks them up.
