So I joined the site a long time ago and made a few connections, but it seemed like it mostly went nowhere, mainly because no one from my area had joined. Now, it seems there are a few from my area, so I'm going to give it another whirl. Hi, my name is Tim. I'm 45, a lover of science fiction (and science) and I really enjoy watching movies and writing. A few years ago (maybe 10 or more now?) I decided to become a screenwriter. I've written a few scripts, but nothing that's ever been sold or made into anything. Again, not many people in this area to connect with and make that happen. I don't care about the fame and fortune part of it. I'm just writing stories I find interesting and hopefully, one day, I'll see them on the big screen.

Hey Tim, a few days ago we implemented a new privacy setting to give you the option of accepting private messages only from users within your network. Today, I discovered a bug with the way this option is set for new users. I just wanted to let you know that the bug is now fixed, so all members are now able to receive private messages from any other member (the default setting). If you'd like to receive private messages only from users within your network, you can change this setting here. Also, you can access your privacy settings at any time from the drop-down menu that appears when you hover over your profile photo in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
