with local towns people as an out-of-control forest fire engulfs them

SYNOPSIS:

Short Synopsis.

Vancouver Island. An attempt to put out a wildfire leads to a loss of control of the

fire and death of some of the attacking crew members.

Forestry headquarters decides to bring in a ‘hot shot crew’ from Victoria along

with 300 untested volunteers. The volunteers arrive and are literally trained

overnight.

Although they do their best to control and put out the fire, record high

temperatures and high winds makes it impossible again to control.

A plan is executed to evacuate the town citizens. Most citizens escape but the

local University students have no transport due to blocked roads are stuck in the

burning town. The Coast Guard come to the rescue and take the students out off

the town beach as the town burns to the ground.

The ‘Hot Shot’ crew bury their dead and prepare for more fires to come. The

experience brings the team together as it teaches them about comradeship, duty,

death, and natures destruction.
