But in the evening, at weekends and even times when I should be working, I write, direct, photograph and edit short films. With a small group of co-conspirators, I set up Zolascope (http://www.zolascope.com). We're all amateurs, many of us coming to film for the first time, but we have high standards and big ambitions. We've just finished principle photography on our fourth short drama - The Garden - which I'm now editing. But we've got plans for much more to come...
It's always an admirable thing to see someone break out of their routine and pursue new dreams, good for you! Definitely going to check out your work
Principal photography has now finished for our next film, The Garden. Now comes the long haul of editing, and worrying about whether we got all the shots we need! http://www.zolascope.com/2015/07/its-a-wrap-but-it-aint-over/...

Do you think it's likely that actors would be willing to travel to France (in exchange for accommodation)? I'm reluctant to post 'job' opportunities if this is going to be perceived as somehow unprofessional or insulting, given that we can't pay. On the other hand, I figured some people might do this sort of thing for their showreels and the experience. How would you feel about this?
It would depend on what the film is about. Reach the heart of an artist and they will do it!
Hi Talya - we have two short film projects in early stage of development. Will be in touch with more info.
Cheers Alle. Once we're ready to start casting on the films we're prepping now, I'll do as you suggest.
