A farmer refuses to accept the premature death of his daughter, instead retreating into a world of denial that could ultimately cost his liberty and it seems nothing will save him now except divine intervention.

The idyllic rural life of a family is blown apart after a school shooting causes the death of a couple's only daughter. Whilst the rest mourn, the girl's father retreats into a world of denial, causing his wife to leave and take their young son to her mother's. Neighbors and friends try to intervene as his withdrawal worsens, more eccentric by the day he waits at school gates home time for the deceased. No longer eating or washing, he spends day and night in his tractor planting row crops even at wrong time of year. His mother in law persuades her daughter she needs get attorney of farm but this involves the powers that be assessing him for medical sectioning. "We are all spiritual beings having a very human experience" and the only intervention now for this man's lost soul will be a miracle.
