A local comedian looking for the perfect punchline forms a bond with a troubled youth looking for a reason to live.
SYNOPSIS:
Boys school teacher Andrew Miller is a well respected comedian in Melbourne’s local comedy circuit. Despite a healthy amount of laughs, Andrew is vexed by one joke that he believes could be funnier. As he continues to rack his brain, he runs into heckler and comedy interest Susan, a troubled cafe dish-pig living in an illegal brothel run by her shady, money-hungry cousin Benjamin. As Andrew mentors Susan, both of them change and influence each others lives, with Andrew introducing Susan into a world of love and laughs, while Susan battles her own demons from a life of humiliation and abuse.
