In a modern-day city where humans and mythical creatures live in discordance, two detectives, one a highly-attuned empath and the other an elven cynic, must work together to prevent a series of ritualistic murders that could unleash a host of malevolent demigods from their ancient prison.

Well done Martin, It sounds very appealing and thanks for sharing such an awesome logline.

You need a descriptive adjective to describe your protagonist detective in this logline... likewise with the supernatural entity. How does the supernatural enter our reality? What is "its" portal to our world?

Needs a few adjectives..

Try this: "A grieving detective, becomes the first human to join a task force that investigates crimes committed by and against "supernaturals" in order to solve the otherworldly murder of his fiancee."
Thanks for the comments everyone.

Hi Brian. To answer your question the series imagines a world where humans live side-by-side with supernatural/mythological beings. So your neighbor could be a vampire. Your co-worker could be a werewolf. You walk down the street and see a centaur. it's a normal part of life. You need a police force that specifically deals with supernaturals.
Not bad, Anthony. I will look at that.
Maybe "hard-boiled detective" and add perhaps "any and all supernaturals"... the ones the guys from Ghostbusters miss - just brainstormin' and spit-ballin' ideas to help percolate your logline so it isn't as generic... and more specific to the exact kind of Villian(s) (or Antagonists) that your (gripping adjective) detective encounters in your script. Hope it helps...
