SYNOPSIS:
Nostrum is the story of a teenage girl (Jessica) whose scientist father (Dr. Paul) has discovered a way to treat and in some cases cure vampires through a combination of medicine, talk and sleep therapy. Daughter and father live with two dozen recovering vampires in a secret clinic fronted by an old TV repair shop in a bad part of a city. Jessica longs for a normal life that includes a relationship with the boy (George) who just moved in up the block (his parents (Scott and Karen) see the neighborhood as the next tribeca). Dr. Paul hopes further investing his daughter in his important work at the clinic will keep them together and safe. Both their wishes prove to be equally out of reach when a backsliding vampire commits a murder that stirs up trouble in the clinic and brings the attentions of a dogged detective with a strange fixation on Jessica.
