TYLER HUDSON'S CHRISTMAS EVE ADVENTURE
By Carol Hoffman

GENRE: Family, Animation
LOGLINE:

Santa's plan to boost his believability rating so it won't be everyone's last Christmas goes awry when his sleigh is hijacked with him, his elf and a disbelieving boy and his younger brother aboard on Christmas Eve.

SYNOPSIS:

If global belief in Santa drops below 50%, Christmas will be cancelled forever. Santa makes a last minute stop before his rounds on Christmas Eve to convince 8-year old Tyler Hudson that Internet stories, fueling his doubts about whether Santa is real aren’t true, but nothing he says changes Tyler’s mind. While Tyler snoops for proof in Santa’s sleigh, a bungling robber hijacks the sleigh, forcing Tyler to face his fear of heights.

Even when Tyler arrives at the North Pole, he thinks it’s an elaborate con. While Santa and his elf try to prove their identity, get Christmas back on track and stop layoffs at the North Pole, the gunman tries to discredit them and plots to use the sleigh in a crime spree. Police investigating the hijacking and searching for the boys think Santa and his elf know the gunman and are in on the plan. Media reports add to the confusion.

When Tyler finally concludes that Santa is real, Santa’s believability rating improves. Tyler foils the gunman’s plan, and Santa speeds away to deliver presents, leaving the elf to take the boys home in his flying car. On the way, they encounter danger and delays. Tyler surprises his parents when he finds unexpected gifts under the tree. Media reports send Santa’s numbers soaring, the gunman turns to Santa for help and Santa issues a layoff recall.
