A young woman strives to make a name in radio and maintain a long distance romance with a rising country talent who is also her high school sweetheart.

SYNOPSIS:

KAYLEE CLARK grew up in the shadow of her smarter, prettier, more talented sister. So it’s that much more meaningful when her neighbor, RANDY WALKER, falls for her. After he drops out of school to pursue his music career and Kaylee’s plans to attend art school don’t work out, she goes to a broadcasting school in Cincinnati, insisting her speech and drama successes in high school make it a logical choice.

Her ambition and natural talent draws the attention of a DJ at a Cincinnati radio station as soon as she gets her foot in the door. Randy’s jealous and tiring of the three hour commute. While Kaylee still loves him, she refuses to give up her career, and they break up. She gets fired for putting up a fight when a full time job goes to a guy instead of her and quits another job because her boss is too friendly.

Kaylee aimlessly drifts in menial jobs in Cincinnati with an eye on radio job postings. Randy plays gigs, missing her from afar and dealing with his own career set backs until Jim and Kaylee team up and get hired at a Cleveland station. Before they leave, Randy plays a gig in Cincinnati. Randy and Kaylee instantly reconnect; the time, distance and misunderstandings have done nothing to dampen their love. But they are both heading toward a point in their lives in which they will have to make a serious decision, one way or the other…
