When a catastrophic heist triggers a brutal Norgh military raid on their peaceful farming village, twin siblings Indigo and Brave must transform from horticulturalists into revolutionaries after their guardian grandparents are captured and executed, inadvertently becoming the faces of an underground resistance movement.
SYNOPSIS:
In a post-organic world dominated by the technologically advanced Norgh—beings who've abandoned biological bodies for synthetic forms—small enclaves of "organics" survive by providing agricultural labor. Seventeen-year-old Indigo lives in one such village with her twin brother Brave, and their adoptive guardians, Gran and Pops.
Act One: During the village's annual Harvest Festival, Indigo secretly completes an advanced bio-tech invention that could revolutionize organic survival. Meanwhile, Brave—traumatized and emotionally disconnected since a mysterious accident—self-medicates and seeks feeling through underground fighting. Unknown to them, a young villager's botched theft of Norgh technology has accidentally killed Norgh infants, triggering a military manhunt.
Act Two: As Gran prepares to judge the horticulture competition, Norgh forces descend on the festival with overwhelming violence. To stop the massacre, Gran and Pops reveal their true identities—legendary Terra-risks (eco-resistance fighters) who've been in hiding for years. They're captured, and the young thief is decapitated on-site.
Act Three: Witnessing Brave's arm spontaneously heal during the chaos—the first time since his accident—Indigo realizes her brother possesses unknown abilities. She steals the guardians' hidden vehicle (Ansi) and infiltrates the Norgh facility with Brave. They arrive moments after Gran and Pops are publicly executed in a display that goes catastrophically wrong when Gran's final act causes a massive tree to erupt through the city center, killing dozens of Norgh.
The twins manage to free other prisoners, including organics from distant villages who recognize them as the guardians' heirs. Their rescue mission is broadcast network-wide, placing them at the top of the Terra-risk wanted list.
Act Four: As the Norgh leadership accelerates plans to eliminate all organics, the twins find refuge in the fungal caves beneath the Outerlands—the same location where their guardians built the original resistance base. Indigo grapples with her identity: "I'm not a fighter, I'm a farmer." But as other freedom fighters rally to their cause, she accepts both roles.
Meanwhile, Major—a high-ranking Norgh officer—experiences disturbing biological changes, his synthetic skin cracking to reveal something organic beneath, suggesting the line between Norgh and human isn't as permanent as believed.
