I have just completed my first feature script after years of writing shorts, i would appreciate some feedback from you kind people. If interested then let me know and i can forward a copy to you, i look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
revenge is not a genre.
I concur that revenge is certainly a recognised sub-genre.
I'll read it.
I have been working on an idea of a sitcom. It's more of a dark comedy. The writing process of the first season is almost wrapped up. I don't know what the next step would be. Do I seek help from an agent? If so, how would I do that? I feel lost in this process. Any assistance would come in handy. Thanks.
How would I acquire an agent?
Look in your area. Run a search, contact them all. Create a resume with everything you have to offer. If no one is interested, find more to offer. Facebook actually has a good means to contact local agents by typing simple searches in the browser.
Hi Tyler, have you looked into the Happy Writers Pitch Sessions?
If I send a my query letter our to different agencies, should I sent a copy of the script treatment also? Or just the script treatment. Help?
Electronic age, makes the queries pretty much obsolete. That's the reasons courses offered on it is a rip. Pitch is in, letters out
What's the difference between a pitch and a query? Same thing, pretty much, non?

Pitches can be short (30 seconds) or long (a couple hours -- usually more of a discussion by that point). And the purpose is different too. A query is meant to gauge a tiny amount of interest -- enough to ask for the script (and hopefully read it). A pitch is more like a sales pitch -- the goal could be the same -- to get a script request. But it could also be to actually sell the project, depending on the audience.

This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
RB

If that is the case, I've worked for over 10 years as a Federal Attorney, although I'm not fully familiar with Canada legal system. Message me with your project and we can see if we can work something out.

Thanks Owen, don't know why they do that... most disconcerting. It take a little while for me also to check the dates. I just assume everything is current.
