BAKER'S DOZEN
By Michael Thomas Gossette

GENRE: Thriller
LOGLINE:

Driven by professional ridicule, two over-matched, veteran detectives, pursue a female psychopath intent on killing the judge and 12 jurors (a Baker’s dozen) who convicted her. The detectives face the wrath of her smoldering hatred for them as one by one, she kills the baker’s dozen until she puts the detectives in her sights.

SYNOPSIS:

I’m Michael Gossette and I’ve written a Cop thriller called Baker’s Dozen. This is a Fatal Attraction meets Body Heat police saga. The film starts with LEAH MARIE BAKER locked up in a prison for the criminally insane. But is she? One by one, the judge and jurors from her long ago conviction, are turning up dead. Our protagonists, STEWART SCHOOL & DENNIS TUCKER, now grizzled detectives of the Reno PD, must revisit the case that made them local heroes. Baker has escaped and, with all of her murdered casino owning hubby’s money, and a genius IQ, she is on a rampage to kill all who did her wrong. As the body count rises Tucker & School are always one step behind Baker. When they finally run out of victims Tucker & School can only surmise that they’ve been played, and now it’s their turn to die. Baker is crazy and the only way to catch her is to be totally insane too. Tucker & School have no problems throwing police protocol out the window to save their asses and bring Baker back to the prison bunk where she belongs.

Baker’s Dozen is a twisted, kinky, buddy cop, movie as if Dirty Harry meets Beverly Hills Cop. I hope you will take the time to read something completely unique and memorable. Sincerely, Mike

I like the concept. I think you need to tighten up the longline and synopsis a bit. For example, I’m not sure I understand what “professional ridicule” is. Explain it in a way that leaves no ambiguity. Also is this Fatal Attraction meets Body Heat or Dirty Harry meets Beverly Hills Cop? I’d pick one comp and stick with it. This sounds like a fun concept. Keep refining it.
