Hello everyone!

Hello you guys! My name is Taylor and I like to write psychological thriller and fantasy screenplays. I have written over several scripts. I'm attending college to major in Cinema Studies in hopes of working for a film studio some day. I certainly look forward to working with you.

Good Luck Taylor!

Psychological Horror/LGBT Script

I was wondering if any producers are looking for psychological horror scripts to produce. If you're interested, message for more details. Thank you for your time and consideration. :)

Big Dogs V Pitchfest question

I was wondering if any of you signed up for a written pitch for the Big Dogs V Pitchfest. If so, I have a question.

Taylor Evans

I signed up for a written pitch and was wondering where will this pitch meeting be held? Is there a specific program they will use (like webinar)? I'm wondering "where do I go?"

Sylvia Marie Llewellyn

Taylor, you register and then send your written submission in .pdf to Joey at the time of the executives appointments or close enough. I try to send my written pitch about 5 minutes ahead of the sched...

Genre writing

I was just replying to a msg from here when it dawned on me. Do you all prefer to work in one genre of writing, or do you spread yourself out? For myself, I like horror, mainly because it is really cheap to produce. ( I think Friday the 13 and Halloween were done for less than 15k each.) lol I also...

I like to try different genres. I have tried fanstasy, horror, sci-fi, political drama & children's.

Eddie Evans

Sarah like your views on writing. it is a art form of one emotions

Doug Nelson

I think that free range story creation comes before genre boundaries and every writer ought to explore each realm in turn. Some genre will be more comfortable for writers than others and eventually, e...

Paranormal genre, one of my favourites, although I thought that was also horror

Brian Shell

Personally, I write what I have lived. It's top-of-consciousness, and (at the time) it's a time when I'm an expert on it (before time washes away the memories).

Horror Script

Looking for a producer who would be interested in a psychological horror/romance script I've recently written. I'd love to message you the logline if anyone is interested.

Doug Nelson

I’m not much for the blood & guts horror stuff but I’m very much into the psychological drama/romance storylines (Hitchcock sort of stuff.) I’d like to look at the logline and a story synopsis.

Taylor Evans

Oh it isn't blood and guts! I shall send you the logline

Psychological Horror/Fantasy Script

Wondering if there are any producers out there looking for a psychological horror script. I would be more than happy to PM the logline to you.

Taylor Evans

Thanks for the advice Beth! :)

Anthony Cawood

@Beth - technically three scripts but one of them has had the option lapse ;-( So two currently optioned and good point re adding it to the sucesses, happened at the end of April so probably should! And thanks for the kind words re the articles, just paying it forward. Anthony

Ally Shina

The "Producers are watching" comments make this discussion sound like a psychological horror. "They may not comment, but they're around"... tan tan tan. "They are here"...

Beth Fox Heisinger

"Pay it forward" really is the best approach. :) Anyway, please do post your success, Anthony. It's great news. :) And, Ally, yeah, it does sound a bit creepy, but the point is we do have worldwide me...

Hello Beth, I only pointed it out because it's a hilarious coincidence, plus the topic of the discussion is a psychological horror. I was just kidding about the creepiness. Stage32 is a great resource and I'll be sure to keep the lurking producers in mind. Thank you.

What's your favorite writing tool?

Everyone has a different way of starting a script. How do you usually start before your "fade in" and what is your favorite tool for doing so? I've tested Adobe Story fo a while and I personaly like the Web Typewriter from Big Huge Labs, but CELTX is the one I always come back to.

Sydney Cuthbert

I personally migrated from FD to Fade In which reads and writes to FD and the other "standards". It costs quite a bit less and does everything I need to do as far as writing spec scripts, and as someo...

Sorry Guys - I have been using Final Draft for years. I am on version 8 - which is rather creaky by today's standards but I like it - and it is industry standard. No - I was just curious about a scree...

Andrew, I used FD8 for many years and just recently updated to FD9. 8 was very comfortable to work with and It appears that 9 just made it more complicated but not better. It could be that I just have...

Doug: I like FD 8 as well. And newer doesn't always mean better. The talkback tool is great for helping catch omitted words.
