SYNOPSIS:

WHITE BANDANA BY ARTHUR CHARPENTIER Genre: Fantasy, Comedy Logline: Wanting to achieve the fame of a superhero, a girl who does not know how to control her superpowers fights crime, but fails. However, when a loser decides to become a supervillain, she cannot refuse to help people and succeeds. Synopsis: In a small town lives a girl with superpowers named Ellen. She has many abilities and none of them she can fully control. Ellen is just an ordinary teenage girl. She goes to high school, eats junk food in the form of sweets and fast food, listens to pop music, and likes to have fun. Her hobby is socializing on social media and blogging. Ellen has a dream, she wants to be a superhero and even came up with a nickname for herself – White Bandana. But the problem is that in the city there are no supervillains to fight. And all the most dangerous criminals are sitting in a large and securely guarded prison. That's why the town is calm, only unfortunate antics and eccentricities of Ellen herself disturb the peace of the townspeople. Since there are no supervillains in the town, Ellen suffers from an inability to self-actualize, which causes her to become depressed or hyper-reactive. Ellen cannot find a purpose for her existence and spends her time on the internet or watching shows, movies, and TV series. Ellen is in love with a famous celebrity hottie in this town, an actor, singer and advertising model named Dan. And to impress him, she does all sorts of silly things. But the handsome man doesn't pay attention to her because he wants money, fame and high status. Ellen has a genius friend named Max, who has been in love with her for a long time, but is afraid to admit his feelings. He is Ellen's age, but he already works in a research center and is involved in science, as he has two higher education degrees. Max is the complete opposite of Ellen. He is hardworking, calm, works out at the gym and is on a diet. Max studies Ellen's superpowers to learn new possibilities to improve the lives of ordinary people. Max uses the study and development of Ellen's superpowers as an excuse to socialize with her. At the same time, he helps her in her studies, as Ellen thinks that she doesn't need knowledge and can cope with all her problems with the help of her superpowers. One day Max, to distract Ellen from unhappy love and the Internet, takes her to the mountains, to relax in nature and look at the largest comet, which at this time is passing near the Earth. They spend time in the woods near the railroad. During the day, a rockfall occurs from the mountain and a huge boulder moves onto the railroad tracks. At this time, a high-speed train with passengers is traveling along the road. Ellen sees this situation with her super vision. She uses her super speed to prevent the disaster. Ellen finds herself next to a rock, grabs it and throws it aside with all her might. The train passes by. Ellen proudly walks back to Max and rejoices that for the first time in her life she has performed a superheroic act that resulted in no one being hurt and nothing being destroyed. At this time the stone flies … and flies … and still flies … and keeps flying towards the city. And then it falls into the prison grounds where the most dangerous criminals are serving time. The rock breaks through the concrete fence and collapses the prison wall. The criminals escape to freedom. While Ellen is making plans for the future, Max watches the news through his laptop and learns about the attack on the prison and the escape of the criminals. The police believe that one of the accomplices used a huge boulder to breach the fence. The anchorwoman reports riots and violence on the streets of the city. Ellen is horrified and wants to make things right. Together with Max, she returns to the city. The city is troubled. There are robberies and fights in the streets, hooligans burn cars. The police can't cope with the outbreak of crime. Fi and Fu are twin brothers, brilliant thieves of museum pieces, antiques and jewelry. After escaping from prison, they rob the museum and mine it. A White bandana appears as they prepare to hitch a container of artifacts to a helicopter. Ellen flies into the museum, breaks through the roof and ends up in the basement because she didn't calculate the force of the impact. While she crawls out from under the rubble, the bandits hook the container with relics to the helicopter through the hole in the roof and fly away, blowing up the supporting walls of the building. Ellen prevents the museum from collapsing. Fi and Fu leave by helicopter to their secret lair, but Max calculates the weight of the cargo and the range of the helicopter. He determines from the map the place where the criminals flew away and gives the coordinates to the police. The SWAT team leaves and arrests the robbers in their secret hideout, and the museum relics are returned to their place. Black Hat is a badass hacker who is forbidden to use any electronic devices, even a calculator. After escaping from prison, he hacks into the city's Internet network, disables security systems, blocks credit bank cards, and causes a fire at a chemical plant. Ellen takes down the circus dome, fills it with water from the city's pond, and heads for the chemical plant. But on the way, she sneezes and spills water on the parking lot of retro cars that were supposed to participate in a car rally. Ellen tries to remedy the situation, but comes up with nothing better than to blow the water away. As a result, with a jet of air, she scatters the cars in different directions. Max makes a list of chemicals. Ellen flies to the supermarket, picks up the chemicals and the needed items. Then returns to the chemical plant and helps Max make the biggest fire extinguisher that will neutralize the fire. Afterwards, Max figures out the hacker and the police arrest him. Grand is a criminal mastermind, imprisoned for the murder of a rival mayor. He craves power, so after escaping from prison, he takes over the entire city hall with the mayor. The police surround the building and negotiate. A White bandana enters the building and tries to free the hostages, but the bandits spot her and try to kill her. Ellen ignores the bullets, but they ricochet and endanger the hostages. A firefight between the bandits and the police begins. Max releases silent drones armed with stun guns, neutralizes the bandits and the ringleader, and then frees the hostages. In the morning, Ellen and Max go home and watch the news. Everyone is berating the superhero White Bandana, who has caused more trouble than good. A program begins in which people discuss whether White Bandana is a superhero or a supervillain. She is accused of stealing museum relics, aiding criminals, and vandalism. One guy claims Ellen has superpowers from taking anabolic steroids. Even superstar Dan thinks Ellen doesn't belong among the town's residents and suggests she be isolated from the regular people. Ellen watches TV, reads comments on the internet and becomes depressed. Ellen locks herself in her room, vowing never to use her superpowers or try to become a superhero again. Max tries to encourage Ellen and tells her that he cares about her. Ellen kicks him out, blaming him for all her troubles. Soon Ellen decides to become a supervillain nicknamed Black Bandana. She goes to a clothing store to get a new costume, picks out an outfit, telling the salesgirl about her problems. The saleswoman is not interested, but the liberal woman, having heard Ellen's story, is outraged and demands to leave the nickname to the black man, and to choose another color for herself. Ellen agrees and buys a red bandana. When Ellen leaves the clothing store, she meets a gang of bikers and accepts their invitation to go for a ride. She declares that she will only do bad things from now on. All evening and all night Ellen drinks alcohol, partying in a bar, racing a motorcycle, and then shooting guns in a vacant lot. Ellen marvels at the biker's marksmanship. He tells her that he has practiced for a long time and spent almost a carload of ammunition to shoot so accurately. Ellen decides to surprise him with her superpower of shooting fire from her eyes like Cyclops, but instead her eyes glow like laser pointers. Ellen is overjoyed and falls asleep because she has wanted to learn how to shoot lasers out of her eyes like Supergirl for a long time. Meanwhile, a comet is approaching Earth and changing its trajectory. Scientists are puzzled, people are in panic, because according to calculations, the comet will fall directly on the city of White Bandana and destroy it. Max is at headquarters helping to devise a plan to neutralize the threat. However, soon all the satellites in orbit fail due to the meteor cloud that flew ahead of the comet. Many telescopes and radar stations on Earth are damaged by meteorites falling from the sky. The military launches nuclear missiles, but they explode in space before reaching their target. Max tries to destroy the comet with a megalaser cannon, but its power is not enough to create a beam of the necessary power, and it fails. The only way out is to call a superhero for help! Max arrives at Ellen's house and tells her that people are in danger and they need White Bandana's help. Ellen refuses. Max sees in her room posters of the most powerful supervillains from comic books and stacks of textbooks on how to become a supervillain. Ellen declares that she has decided to become supervillain Red Bandana and is not going to save anyone. She has found herself and if humanity is destined to die, then so be it, people deserve it. Max resents how quickly she gave up on her dream. He says that everything he has achieved has been worth a lot of effort and hard work every day. He wasn't born smart, but he read mountains of books. He wasn't born strong, but he works out every day. He wasn't born skinny, but is constantly watching his diet. Max says that superheroes are not born, they become superheroes. He convinces Ellen that all superheroes have made mistakes, but they overcame hardships. They worked on themselves and got better. Max offers Ellen a chance to prove to people that she is a superhero. Besides, it's a simple matter of keeping a comet from hitting the Earth. If White Bandana does this, people will forget her past mistakes. Or do it as a supervillain, because there's something wrong with the comet. And it just needs to be destroyed. In doing so, Ellen will show people her superpower. Ellen has learned about body language from textbooks and realizes from Max's behavior that he is in love with her. Ellen agrees to neutralize a comet that threatens to fall on the city and destroy it. Ellen puts on a supervillain costume and flies to the comet. The comet is protected from destruction by a force field. Ellen informs Max about the force field. Max convinces her to use the tunnel effect to penetrate beyond the force field to the comet. Ellen penetrates the force field and finds herself in front of the comet. Imitating Cyclops from the X-Men, she blasts the comet with fire from her eyes. However, in the comet's tail, Ellen discovers an alien fleet of spaceships. The flagship rushes towards her. Emperor Do-hee-gee makes contact, he looks large and very violent, and offers Ellen to surrender or she will be destroyed by a superweapon. But Ellen recalls the principles of quantum mechanics from her textbooks and changes space-time so that the shots don't reach her, but simply change trajectory and disappear. She then infiltrates the ship, destroys the superweapon, and finds the galactic emperor. He is a weak dwarf with a red beard who used propaganda to portray himself as a giant. He shakes with fear and begs to be spared. Ellen gives Do-hee-gee to the aliens, who no longer fear their cruel ruler. The aliens promise Ellen to try Do hee-gee and imprison him. The aliens make a peace treaty with the Earthlings and fly home. The White bandana returns to town. Ellen is honored as a winner and declared a superhero. Superstar Dan approaches her and confesses his love, but Ellen realizes from his body language that his words are not sincere and he is lying to gain some of her popularity. She declares that she already has a boyfriend and introduces her friend Max. Ellen realizes that Max is the best guy in the world and a true hero worthy of her love. They hold hands and are both happy. Finale.

This sounds like a fun and interesting movie, but the logline is a little long. You can try to refine it some by using https://scriptmatix.com/logline-generator/ and then tweaking it to your liking.

Arthur Charpentier

Lisa Lee, thank you for the link to the site, but it didn't help. this is a story about an antihero and the standard logline template is not suitable for description. because the antagonist is the heroine herself, this is the peculiarity of the plot.

I don't know why, but when editing text in a mobile phone, spaces are not placed on the site page.
