SYNOPSIS:
1955 Memphis Chicks. Bob admires the heavy gold championship ring he has found hidden in two inches of soil of the once majestic baseball field. Inscribed in the ring the name Jack Swift. Bob is reminded of the golden age of baseball and the tragic true story of the once promising fireballer. Jack Swift dreamed of playing major league baseball, and seemed poised to do just that. Only dreams are easily shattered. Drafted by the Army prior to WWII, suffering life threatening injuries in battle, and the near death of his first born son, only served as fuel to keep the dream alive. Setting records for the most wins and strikeouts in a single season. Jack would never see his dreams come true. But he would leave behind a legacy that begged to be rediscovered, more than forty years after his untimely death.
