About Crispin

Writing is like oxygen to me. I love turning a blank page into a tangible, everlasting expression of what's on my mind. Like most writers, I crafted a variety of materials—ads, marketing collateral, speeches, white papers, and articles for newspapers and magazines—before taking the big plunge into screenwriting. After hundreds of hours of classes and workshops, I was ready. During the last several years under the guidance of three wonderful mentors, I have created two pilots and a feature film script based on stories I've wanted to tell for decades. All three are period dramas featuring strong female heroines. Mrs. White versus The Cattle King is based on a true story that took place about 150 years ago in Round Valley, California, my current home base. The Whaler's Wife is inspired by the many summers I spent on Nantucket Island, once the whaling capital of the world. Between the Pages is based on my great grandmother’s actions during the Great Depression.
