"Falling in Love" touches on difficult issues such as domestic abuse of males, dealing with grief at the loss of a loved one, teenage angst, self-harming, depression and suicide... but above all, it deals with love.

Ali's grandmother is domineering and disapproving of Milo.

Milo's parents are at each other's throats all the time.

Ali's mother died recently, and unexpectedly.

Milo's self-harming seems to be coming under control now that he's found the love of Ali, but how long will it last?
