Crossing Nevada in 1855, six incompatible strangers must survive the desert and the hostile confines of a stagecoach after the death of one of its horses.

SYNOPSIS:

Their conveyance is a pressure cooker for conflict between a fashionable bachelorette, a tavern singer, a gentleman laborer, a newly widowed farm wife, a pompous English banker, and a quack barber en route to Coloma, CA as the gold rush fades. Each is a target of the others due to divergent motives, means, scruples, and cultures. Conditions worsen when the gelding is killed in a bizarre shooting accident, so the travelers and coachmen must learn to cooperate or die.
