I just did a USO tour where at the end a Marine said to me, "Thanks for doing this. We really needed a laugh because so many of us suffer from depression and have suicidal tendencies." I told him, "Same with us comedians, so we're both in good company." Am I a hero? That's not for me to say, but I wouldn't be terribly shocked if Sam Jackson popped in and asked me to join the Avengers.
After being on the road for about 26 weeks a year for the past eight years, I've settled down in Los Angeles to pursue writing. And since I showed my full range of being able to look tired and then energetic in a 5 Hour Energy Drink commercial, sometimes I pretend to be other people too.
My passion is writing though. It's a thing that I've always done and will continue to do, even if it doesn't end up being the next professional chapter of my life.
